Mason Mama was created to show my pride as being a mom of a George Mason University student.

My daughter was accepted into GMU in the spring of 2021, slated to move on campus in August 2021.  As proud as I was of her, I hate to admit that the only thing I could think of was how I was going to afford it.  As a single mom to 2 girls, I haven't always been able to give them the best of the best.  I considered GMU very close to the best of the best.

We were blessed with grants and scholarships through our FASFA application, however, even after my daughter took a few student loans, there was still a balance on the account.  I hated that she had to take out student loans and hated that I would struggle each semester to pay the balance on the account, and I had to think fast. This is when the lightbulb went off.

​

I also needed GMU gear without breaking the bank, and wanted to brag a little, that I had a daughter attending George Mason. And then it occurred to me, there must be a ton of other mamas out there that want to show their pride also! That is where Mason Mama was born.

These sales, along with help from her dad and extended family, help me pay the account balance each semester.
